I have a wonderful husband. He is thoughtful and kind, and he vacuums without being asked. He knows how to relax and how to work hard. He's funny and makes me laugh. Okay, sometimes I'm embarrassed at his attempts to be funny. But I still have to smile.
Yes, I got to spend a bit of time with him today... something I cherish so much now that he is so often on the road. And in order to spend a bit more time together, I went with him to the city this afternoon, and while he had an appointment, I wandered the mall. Made a great discovery. There was nothing I needed at the mall.
His appointment also made me thank the Lord for the gift of today. The Internist is checking things out exactly as I hoped he would.
The gift of today wasn't finished. We picked up two international students for dinner at our house. Tampriye is at another University, but her brother will be here in Winnipeg for four years. From Nigeria to Winnipeg in January!! We had a good evening and hope we can share many more meals in the next four years.
Add a visit from our kids and grandson, and the day was close to perfect.
