Einar loved taking pictures before we were married. Once he knew that I also liked photography, he stopped. The few pictures that we have of me with the kids are generally ones I asked him to take. He also is far more photogenic than I am, so while I probably love every picture of him, I did not keep every one of me!!

My children are growing up so fast. Rachel has been 'talking' for a while - "Mama," "Dada" and "Rachel" (actually Acho) and now "Bye-Bye." She loves to wave, clap and play peek-a-boo. When she and Kirsten take a bath, the bathroom is guaranteed to get wet. They sit there and splash each other and giggle. I'm still nursing Rachel and probably will for at least a few more months. I just love it.
Kirsten has been hung up on relationships for a while - cousins, husbands, mothers, etc. She phoned "Grandma's husband" last week. It's not uncommon to hear something like - "Kirsten's cousins love Paul & Kevin's cousin." or "My cousins Mommy loves Rachel's sister." She always refers to herself as either "Rachel's sister" or as "Paul & Kevin's cousin."
A recent conversation:
"Daddy's name is Einar," that was Kirsten.
"Right! What's Mommy's name?"
"Debbie."
"Debbie who?"
"Debbie - uh - Koop!"
"No, not Debbie Koop."
"Are you married, Mommy?"
"Yes - now my name is Debbie Sandland."
"When I get big then I'll get married and then I'll have a husband named Daddy!"
