Mother's Day was a cool day, but we did attempt a picnic in the park. Since it was not only Mother's Day, but also my birthday, the kids did all the work. Rachel has become quite adept at multi-tasking.
The wagon is such a hit with the grandkids. Just sitting in it together seems to be entertainment enough! Add a bucket and something to put into the bucket, and they are very happy kids!
Looking quite grown up!
While I put Josiah to sleep, Matthew grabbed my camera for some great shots of kids in the wagon.
We did head to Paul & Rachel's for cake - and to warm up.
We continued to feed the birds on the deck and were rewarded with seeing goldfinches, and other colorful birds coming to feed.
We were trying to figure out why the one birdfeeder was sometimes lopsided, until Einar captured the following shots.
Mystery solved.
Learning that when the camera comes out, he's supposed to smile!
Josiah and his daddy
While there are some similarities between the grandkids, there are also many differences. When given access to the tupperware cupboard, Haley took out a few containers and a few lids, and then sat and worked at fitting them together. Not Josiah. He quickly pulled out all he could, and then made sure those containers got dumped as well!
With Bestefar.
